United Bottled Gas began serving the Los Angeles Area in 1963, by founder Joe Mojica. In mid-1962 Joe decided to start his own propane business after being offered a propane delivery truck from a company in Culver City. The company offered to sell the truck to him after building up a small route for them. Joe diligently went to work and within a few months had established a route. Unfortunately the company decided not to sell him the truck. Even more determined than before Joe sought out to start his own company. In June of 1963 Joe purchased his first bobtail truck and with the help of his family founded United Bottled Gas.

Holding on to those values of determination, honesty and family, United Bottled Gas has continued to service the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties for over 50 years.
